Design Competition I
The Manhattan Airport Foundation would like to thank all parties who have submitted plans for Stage One of the Design Competition for Manhattan Airport thus far.
To this date, submissions have come from 16 countries and over two dozen US States. All participants’ submissions will be evaluated by a hand-picked international jury assembled expressly for the purpose of the Manhattan Airport project. The jury, which will remain anonymous until the announcement of the design finalists, brings an unequalled range of credentials and is comprised of top design industry professionals, urban planners, mayors and international heads of state.
Please note that entry to the Competition is by invitation only. In addition, we ask that applicants please not contact the Foundation with questions regarding the status of individual submissions. In order to maintain the integrity of the selection process no information will be given until the design review has concluded.
The final deadline for Stage One design proposals is September 8, 2009.
All applicants will be notified of the status of their submissions by December 1, 2009.
